Ground PDF Tools Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 2, 20261. Files and document processing
PDF files, images, scans, extracted text, recent-file history, and generated documents are processed or stored locally on your device. Ground Studio does not receive or store the contents of these files. A file leaves the app only when you deliberately share it using Android's sharing features or save it to a location or service you select.
2. Document scanning
The app uses the Google ML Kit document scanner supplied through Google Play services. Scanning features such as page detection, crop, rotation, and filters operate on the device. Google Play services may use an internet connection to download or update the scanner component. The app itself does not request direct camera permission; the Google-provided scanner flow controls camera access.
3. Advertising and consent
The app uses Google AdMob to display banner and occasional interstitial advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share an IP address, general location inferred from the IP address, product interactions, diagnostic information, and device or advertising identifiers. This information may be used for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.
Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform asks for your privacy choices before the app requests ads. If a privacy-options entry is required in your region, it is available from the app's Settings screen.
4. Local history and retention
The recent-files list is stored locally. You can remove it with “Clear history.” Uninstalling the app removes its internal settings. Files that you saved to Downloads or Pictures remain on your device until you delete them.
5. Accounts and children
Ground PDF Tools does not require an account. The app is a general productivity utility and is not designed for children under 13.
6. Security
Ground Studio does not operate a document-upload server for this app. Data transmitted by Google advertising services is encrypted in transit according to Google's SDK documentation. No method of electronic processing is completely risk-free, so users should still protect access to their devices and sensitive files.

Google's handling of information is governed by its own policies and privacy controls.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated when app features, SDKs, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version.
